Leadership and Professional Development

Great leaders appear to effortlessly bring people together by creating trusting and respectful work cultures,  in which challenging problems are addressed and conquered through candid communication.  

 

And yet, leadership is difficult to define. Leadership goes beyond the obvious lines of a person’s title, seniority, management style, or personality.  These often speak to reliance on position or charisma to get “things” done.  True leadership focuses on the mastery of social influence to motivate others so they can focus their efforts collaboratively to achieve common goals. 

 

Debbie works with new and experienced professionals and leaders to identify strengths and areas for development for both themselves and / or their teams. Together,  we develop action plans to help leaders embrace successful approaches appropriate to the situation. 

 

Development plans and progress are measured against each leader’s starting point, guided by the expectations and standards that they and their peers are being held to.  The focus is on helping you to develop your authentic leadership style.

Coaching

Individual executive coaching provides one of the most effective ways for executives and senior managers to focus on their specific learning and development needs.   Partnering with Debbie as their coach, allows professionals to clarify their goals and create plans that are tailored to meet their specified objectives. 

 

As a certified coach, Debbie serves as a safe and impartial sounding board with whom managers can explore their thoughts, fears, plans, and situations. This unbiased role, balancing support and challenge, is what many individuals value so highly about their individual coaching experience.

Group Workshops

Classroom training events are a cost effective way for organizations to address universal learning and development needs for groups of people. 

 

Group workshops are very versatile.  Subject matter and delivery can be tailored to the specific needs of a team, department and/or whole organization.  Workshops can also address professional competencies and skills that are widespread within a business sector.

Debbie can tailor workshops to meet your needs.  Single workshops can be expanded or combined, in block or modular formats, to create broader development programs or a series of learning events. 

Group Workshops

Seminars, Webinars, and Lunch & Learns

Seminars and lunch & learns are types of professional development workshops that are conveniently delivered in smaller chunks of time to fit within a busy working week.  The shorter formats allow for introductory sessions of larger topics, or for intense deep dives into focused areas.  Debbie facilitates interactive sessions to encourage full participation and enhance the learning experience.

Webinars harness technology to broadcast live or recorded seminars so that they can be shared across multiple locations and timezones.  They are an effective way to ensure continuity of a training message and also allow participants to learn at their own pace.
